News from DISCOP 2006

EEAP

EEAP acquires Weinstein Films. EEAP Eastern European Acquisition Pool GmbH has inked a license agreement with The Weinstein Co. EEAP now holds the exclusive rights to the territories of Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Poland, Bulgaria and for selected pictures former Yugoslavia and Romania.

TARGET

Target looks forward to DISCOP 06 with varied slate of titles and deals inked. Leading rights management company Target Entertainment will exhibit at DISCOP 06 later this month with a highly acclaimed mix of drama, entertainment and lifestyle programming and deals signed for the region.

INTACT PRODUCTION

Intact Productions presents hit programming in Romania including telenovela, sitcom, crime and mystery series, prime-time entertainment. INTACT PRODUCTION is the company that provides (alone or in co-production) most of the shows aired by Antena 1, a top television network in Romania. During the last years, the television programs produced by INTACT PRODUCTION have proven very successful in terms of ratings, constantly getting high scores on Antena 1.

BREAKTHROUGH ENTERTAINMENT

Breakthrough Entertainment Inc. brings their new slate of TV programs, TV Formats and a package of five (5 x 90’) MOWs produced for Lifetime USA to DISCOP 2006. The first two MOWs include CRADLE OF LIES (1 x 90’) A high stakes thriller of love and deceit and a big inheritance starring Dylan Neal (Dawson’s Creek, CSI:Miami) Shannon Sturges (S. W. A.T) and Natalie Brown (Dawn of the Dead).

WGBH INTERNATIONAL

WGBH International, the worldwide co-production and distribution division of WGBH-TVBoston-the largest producer of primetime programming for PBS in the U.S.-is attending DISCOP 06 for the first time, bringing a portfolio ranging from worldwide current affairs to science, history, lifestyle and children’s programming as well as an HD line-up.

MOTION AVENUE INTERNATIONAL

Motion Avenue International, an interactive TV production company, will be represented at DISCOP 06 by Kim Lindholm, Pekka Palin and Antonio Baratto . Kim Lindholm will also be speaking at the DISCOP CAMPUS 06 conference about How TV channels can turn their off-prime programming into lucrative business opportunities’.
